GEENSBORO – Warmer weather means spring.  And spring means high school baseball. The Mapletown boys varsity baseball season of 2018 offers a new chance for 9-12 graders to enjoy playing on the field. We are expecting a successful season.

The coaches for varsity are Mr. DeCarlo and Jeff Rush.

We have returning starters from last season: Brian Bogden, Lane Powell, Brandon Donley, and Dylan Rush.

Having experienced players returning this season should help the younger players with advice and just learning the game better. We are happy to have them back, and to help the team improve any way they can.

Last season, Mapletwon won four games. “We expect to do no less this year,” Coach DeCarlo stated. He expects every day for the boys to achieve one goal they set for the team and for themselves.

The roster for 2018 includes:

Dylan Rush, Brian Bogden, Kevin Hayes, Lane Powell, Austin Tyson , and Ryan Carter.

Brandon Donley, Ethan Carter, and Noah Haines.

Chuck Lash, and Cameron Gea

Lance Stevenson, Trenton Antill, Jonathan Rood, Dominic Cumpston, Tristan Mckenzie, and Chase Wilson.

Best of luck to the 2018 Maples!
